UniStart Albany 2017

Stage four: Orientation

Tutorials, labs and practical classes are held from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Field trips for some units will be over a weekend.

The timetable will be sent to you once it has been finalised, and teaching staff will advise of any field trip dates at the first class.

Lectures are available on-line 24 hours after their Perth delivery, and may be listened to at a time convenient to you.

Once we get through all the administrative and technical details of getting you enrolled, we can make sure you're feeling well-prepared to start studying.

The University expects all new students to attend orientation activities.

The UWA Albany Orientation Day is: Thursday 27 July 2017. Activities will commence at 9:30 a.m. sharp until 3:00pm.

Please contact the UWA Albany Centre for full details of the orientation program, which generally includes:

  • familiarisation with the Albany Centre's computing facilities and the University's Lectopia system;
  • allocation of your computer log-in and student e-mail address;
  • orientation to the library system;
  • collecting your student ID card;
  • an overview of student services; and
  • the opportunity to meet fellow students and Centre staff.

In fact, just about everything you need to know to study at the Albany Centre!

Now what?

Congratulations! You've made it through the offer, enrolment and orientation process. We hope you're looking forward to getting into some study.

The Albany Centre website will be an invaluable resource to you during your time with us. Computers in the General Access Lab have the Albany Centre website set as their home page.

If you have any questions, concerns, or just need something clarified, please ask a UWA staff member. We'll do our best to help.

Remember that there is plenty of support available for you as a student at UWA. You just have to ask.

Welcome to UWA - we wish you the very best for your studies.
