Complete your enrolment online

You will be able enrol online via studentConnect once you have accepted your offer. Once you log in, follow the instructions to enrol in your units for first and second semester.

StudentConnect allows you to:

  • manage your enrolment
  • update your address and contact information
  • check course tuition and administration fees
  • view your exam timetable
  • access your academic record

Note: If you are a domestic student enrolling via studentConnect for the first time, it will help to have your tax file number (TFN) handy.

You must have an active Pheme account before you can access studentConnect.

Ask for help if necessary

Your Faculty Postgraduate Student Office can help you with enrolment queries, such as how to resolve a unit that shows as ‘invalid’.

You may continue to attend classes while the ‘invalid’ status is being resolved. Your Faculty Postgraduate Student Office may have to validate it for you, or you may need to change units, so make sure that it is resolved by the end of week 2 of semester.

You can also find answers to frequently asked questions, or submit your own query via askUWA.

Be aware of any Important University Dates.

Register for your classes using CAS

Some postgraduate units allow you to lodge your preferences for lecture, tutorial and laboratory times using Class Allocation System (CAS). Selection of a class preference (lecture, tutorial or seminar) does not apply to units offered intensively.

Please note: CAS does not work on a 'first-come, first-serve' basis; all student preferences are processed and allocated together prior to the commencement of the Semester.

Refer to the CAS website for information regarding key dates and resources to assist you in completing your timetable.

Once open, if your units are not listed on CAS, contact your School or Faculty Postgraduate Student Office for assistance.

Access CAS to create your timetable

Trimester courses will not use CAS, please contact your Faculty/School Student Office for your class timetable.

MBA students should visit the Business School timetable website

Obtain your campus card

You’ll need a campus card to borrow items from the library and to access a number of other services on campus. If you already have a valid and active student campus card, you do not need another one and you can skip this step.

CaptureME is the online portal that allows students to take control of the photo that will be printed on their UWA campus card!

As long as you’ve activated your Pheme account and enrolled into your first year of units via studentConnect you’ll be able to log into CaptureME and send us a selfie for your campus card!

Make sure that you have also logged into your UWA student email account as this is where your notifications from CaptureME will go!

There are a few guidelines you’ll need to follow to ensure we approve your photo, and CaptureME will let you know when your photo has been submitted and if it’s been approved or rejected by the Student Admin team.

When we send you an approval to your UWA student email account, we’ll also let you know when you’ll be able to come and collect your card (this may be at different times and locations during the peak periods).

We do require a form of Proof of Citizenship when you collect your card, so please remember to bring a Passport, Birth Certificate, Birth Certificate Extract, or Citizenship Certificate. No other forms of ID can be accepted.

Students living outside of Perth and/or studying at one of our regional or offshore campuses can also use CaptureMe to upload their photo for their campus card, and your UWA representative will then advise you on collection of this card. Proof of identity documents may still be requested.

There are also some conditions of use associated with your campus card, so please ensure that you review these prior to obtaining your card.
