UniStart Postgrad

Stage three: Orientation

Commencing postgraduate studies at university can be a daunting process, even if you have studied at UWA previously. We have put together a program of events and activities that will help introduce you to your faculty and the wide range of services and resources that will be available to you during your studies. This also includes a self-paced online module for students who are new to UWA.

Attend your Orientation sessions

In addition to the General Orientation and Commencement Ceremony for all postgraduate students commencing studies in Semester 1, or mid-year (Semester 2), your faculty's Welcome session (if available) provides you with the opportunity to meet staff and fellow students and help orient yourself to your faculty and the campus.

While we attempt to provide you with the information as early as possible, full program details are not usually finalised until about 2-3 weeks prior to Orientation Week, which occurs the week before Semester commences. Be sure to bookmark this page and check back closer to the time to ensure you are referring to the most up-to-date schedule of events.

For all other students (e.g. those undertaking Business School courses offered in Trimesters 1, 2 or 3), details about orientation activities will generally be included in your offer letter, or in the Faculty-specific information below.
